Cambridge O Levels — the short version
Cambridge O Level is an international qualification for students aged roughly 14 to 16, taken widely across South Asia, Africa and South-East Asia and graded A* to E. It sits alongside IGCSE in the Cambridge family and shares much of its subject content, but several syllabuses differ in paper structure and in the availability of coursework and practical components. Examinations are offered in the May–June and October–November series. Tabish Tutors teaches Cambridge O Level one-to-one online, matched to the exact syllabus code, with past papers marked against the published mark scheme.

Who this is for
Is O Levels tutoring right for your student?

- Private candidates entering through the British Council
- Students retaking a subject to lift an overall profile
- Students preparing to progress into A Levels
- Students whose school teaches from notes rather than the syllabus
What you get
Outcomes we commit to
- Complete syllabus coverage, not a school summary of it
- Definitions and method written the way Cambridge credits them
- Practical papers rehearsed rather than hoped for
- Marked past papers with a written error log
Diagnosis first
O Levels marks slip for a small number of fixable reasons
We find which one it is in the first session, then teach against it. Vague effort does not move a score; a named cause does.
Learning from notes, not the syllabus
School notes are a summary of someone's reading of the syllabus. Anything they omit is invisible until it appears on the paper.
Definitions are paraphrased
Cambridge accepts specific wording for defined terms. A paraphrase that sounds right often earns nothing.
Practical papers are under-prepared
Practical and alternative-to-practical papers carry real weight and follow highly predictable patterns. They are the cheapest marks on the course and the most commonly neglected.
Method is skipped in numericals
Marks are awarded for working. A correct final answer with no method loses most of the question.

How the course actually runs

How it works
From first message to first lesson
Four steps, no directory to sort through, no commitment before the demo.
Tell us about the student
Curriculum, board, current grade, target grade, and the topics actually causing trouble. Two minutes on WhatsApp is usually enough.
We match the tutor
We hand-pick one specialist for your exact specification. You are not sent a directory to sort through — the match is our job.
Free trial lesson
A real teaching session with the tutor who would teach the course. No payment, no card details, no commitment.
Lessons and weekly reports
The same tutor every week, a written plan, and a progress report to the parent so nobody is guessing whether it is working.
Who teaches it
Faculty for Cambridge O Levels
You are matched to one of these specialists — and you keep them.
Every enquiry reaches the academic team first. They read what the student is actually stuck on, identify the exact board and paper, and match a subject specialist who teaches that syllabus week in and week out — not the next tutor on a list. The team sets the study plan, reviews progress reports before they are sent, and steps in to reassign a tutor if the match is not right after the first lesson. They also answer the WhatsApp line during teaching hours.
Questions parents ask
O Levels — frequently asked questions
They are both Cambridge qualifications at the same level and are treated equivalently by schools and universities. The differences are in paper structure and in coursework and practical availability on certain subjects. We teach to whichever your centre enters you for.
Yes, through the British Council or an authorised examination centre. We teach the full course and help you plan registration deadlines around the series you want.
For a full subject taught from the beginning, six to nine months. For targeted repair of specific topics, six to ten weeks can move a grade. We will tell you which situation you are in after the diagnostic.
Still deciding? Message our academic team on +92 300 4568992 or email info@tabishtutors.com. You will get a straight answer about whether O Levels tutoring will help — even if the answer is no.
