The British Curriculum — the short version
The British curriculum runs from Key Stage 1 in primary school through Key Stage 3 in lower secondary, into GCSE or IGCSE at ages 14 to 16, and then AS and A Level at 16 to 18. It is the most widely exported school system in the world and is taught in British and international schools across the Gulf, Asia, Africa and Europe. The points where students most often fall behind are the transitions — Key Stage 3 into GCSE, and GCSE into A Level — because each assumes the previous stage is secure. Tabish Tutors teaches the full pathway one-to-one online, which means gaps are repaired rather than inherited.
What we cover
Full British Curriculum coverage — nothing quietly skipped

Diagnosis first
British Curriculum marks slip for a small number of fixable reasons
We find which one it is in the first session, then teach against it. Vague effort does not move a score; a named cause does.
Moving schools left invisible gaps
Curricula sequence topics differently. A student who changes school or country often misses a whole strand that nobody notices until an exam.
Key Stage 3 was treated as filler
KS3 is where algebraic fluency is built. Students who coast through it meet GCSE algebra with nothing underneath it.
The GCSE to A Level jump was underestimated
A Level assumes independence and depth that GCSE never asked for. The first term is where most of the damage happens, and it is entirely preventable.
Reading stamina is the hidden problem
Across every subject, longer exam questions punish students who cannot hold attention through a dense paragraph. It is trainable, and rarely trained.
The plan
How the course actually runs

How it works
From first message to first lesson
Four steps, no directory to sort through, no commitment before the demo.
Tell us about the student
Curriculum, board, current grade, target grade, and the topics actually causing trouble. Two minutes on WhatsApp is usually enough.
We match the tutor
We hand-pick one specialist for your exact specification. You are not sent a directory to sort through — the match is our job.
Free trial lesson
A real teaching session with the tutor who would teach the course. No payment, no card details, no commitment.
Lessons and weekly reports
The same tutor every week, a written plan, and a progress report to the parent so nobody is guessing whether it is working.
Questions parents ask
British Curriculum — frequently asked questions
This is one of the most common reasons families come to us. We establish the actual working level rather than assuming the year group, find what the previous curriculum sequenced differently, and close those gaps while keeping pace with the new school.
Yes, from Key Stage 1 upward. Younger sessions are shorter and more frequent, and we report to the parent after each block.
Yes — including assessment preparation in English and Mathematics, and bridging any content the previous system covered later or not at all.
