FSc Pre-Medical & Pre-Engineering — the short version

FSc (Faculty of Science) is Pakistan's two-year intermediate qualification, taken as Part I (Grade 11) and Part II (Grade 12). The Pre-Medical group studies Physics, Chemistry and Biology; the Pre-Engineering group studies Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; both also take English, Urdu, Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies. Board papers combine MCQs, short questions and long questions, and marks are awarded strictly against the board marking scheme. Tabish Tutors teaches FSc one-to-one online, chapter by chapter, with past-paper practice marked the way a board examiner marks it.

What we cover

Full FSc coverage — nothing quietly skipped

We teach to the specification, not to a summary of it. Here is exactly what is on the table.

Physics — Part I & II

  • Measurements, vectors and equilibrium
  • Motion, force, work, energy and power
  • Circular motion, oscillations and waves
  • Heat, thermodynamics and electrostatics
  • Current electricity, electromagnetism, modern physics

Chemistry — Part I & II

  • Stoichiometry, atomic structure and chemical bonding
  • States of matter, thermochemistry and equilibrium
  • Reaction kinetics and electrochemistry
  • Periodicity and the s, p, d block elements
  • Organic chemistry: hydrocarbons, functional groups, macromolecules

Biology — Pre-Medical

  • Cell biology, biological molecules and enzymes
  • Variety of life, kingdom classification
  • Nutrition, gaseous exchange, transport and homeostasis
  • Coordination and control, reproduction, development
  • Genetics, evolution, biotechnology and ecosystems

Mathematics — Pre-Engineering

  • Quadratic equations, matrices and determinants
  • Sequences, series, permutation and probability
  • Trigonometric identities, functions and solutions
  • Functions, limits and differentiation
  • Integration, analytic geometry and vectors

Who this is for

Is FSc tutoring right for your student?

  • Part I students who want to start ahead instead of catching up in Part II
  • Part II students carrying weak Part I chapters into the final board exam
  • Pre-Medical students building toward MDCAT
  • Pre-Engineering students building toward ECAT and university entry tests
  • Private and improvement candidates repeating a paper

What you get

Outcomes we commit to

  • Complete Part I and Part II coverage against your own board's pattern
  • Answers written the way the marking scheme rewards
  • A tested past-paper routine started early enough to matter
  • A clean bridge into MDCAT or ECAT preparation

Diagnosis first

FSc marks slip for a small number of fixable reasons

We find which one it is in the first session, then teach against it. Vague effort does not move a score; a named cause does.

Part I gaps carried into Part II

Physics and Chemistry in Part II assume Part I is solid. Most Part II collapses trace back to an unrepaired Part I chapter — usually vectors, moles or bonding.

Answers are correct but not board-shaped

Board examiners award marks against a scheme. A right answer written in the wrong structure loses marks it should have earned. We teach the shape of the answer.

Numericals are memorised, not understood

Students recall a specific worked numerical and freeze when the board changes the values. We teach the method so the numbers stop mattering.

Past papers started too late

Past papers begun three weeks before the exam only expose problems — they do not leave time to fix them. Our cycle starts them months earlier.

The plan

How the course actually runs

A written plan agreed before the first paid lesson, so you always know what stage the student is in.

Part I Foundation

Grade 11

  • Chapter-by-chapter teaching from the board textbook
  • Numericals worked in full, not skipped
  • Short-question bank built as we go
  • Monthly chapter tests marked to scheme

Part II Completion

Grade 12

  • Full Part II syllabus coverage
  • Part I gaps repaired in parallel
  • Practical / lab theory for the practical paper
  • Combined Part I + II revision cycles

Board Technique

Exam skill

  • Paper pattern and section-wise time allocation
  • How long questions are split into marks
  • Diagram and labelling marks
  • MCQ speed without careless loss

Entry Test Bridge

After boards

  • MDCAT / ECAT syllabus overlap identified early
  • Concept depth beyond textbook where entry tests demand it
  • Timed MCQ practice
  • Transition plan into entry-test coaching

How it works

From first message to first lesson

Four steps, no directory to sort through, no commitment before the demo.

01

Tell us about the student

Curriculum, board, current grade, target grade, and the topics actually causing trouble. Two minutes on WhatsApp is usually enough.

02

We match the tutor

We hand-pick one specialist for your exact specification. You are not sent a directory to sort through — the match is our job.

03

Free trial lesson

A real teaching session with the tutor who would teach the course. No payment, no card details, no commitment.

04

Lessons and weekly reports

The same tutor every week, a written plan, and a progress report to the parent so nobody is guessing whether it is working.

You are matched to one of these specialists — and you keep them.

MBMuhammad Bilal AhmedSenior Physics & Mathematics Faculty

Bilal teaches FSc Pre-Engineering Physics and Mathematics, AP Physics and AP Calculus. His students report the same thing: the numericals stop being frightening once the method is separated from the numbers.

SYDr Sana YousafBiology & Chemistry Faculty — Pre-Medical

Sana teaches FSc Pre-Medical Biology and Chemistry and AP Biology, and prepares students for the transition into MDCAT. She rebuilds Part I foundations while teaching Part II, which is why her Part II students rarely collapse in the second year.

Questions parents ask

FSc — frequently asked questions

Punjab boards (Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sahiwal), the Federal Board, Sindh boards, KPK boards and AJK. We teach to your board's specific paper pattern.

Yes, and for Part II students we usually have to. Part II content sits on Part I foundations, so we repair the earlier chapters in parallel rather than pretending they are finished.

Yes. FSc and the entry tests overlap heavily, so we flag the overlap during the FSc course and move into dedicated entry-test work after the board exams.

Whichever helps the student learn. Most sessions run bilingually — concepts explained in Urdu where that is clearer, with all technical terms and written answers in exam English.
